Venetian Plastering

What Is Venetian Plaster?

Venetian plaster is a traditional Italian wall finish made from marble dust and slaked lime putty. Applied in multiple thin coats and polished between layers, it creates a seamless, luminous surface with a characteristic depth of colour. It's durable, moisture-resistant, and completely unique to the space it's applied in - no two applications are identical.

It's used in high-specification residential interiors, feature walls, hallways, reception rooms, and bathrooms where the finish is expected to make a statement.

Venetian Plaster Application

The quality of a Venetian plaster finish is almost entirely determined by the skill of the applicator. It is not a standard plastering trade and not every plasterer can do it well. Our team has the experience to deliver polished, burnished Venetian plaster to a high standard - both in traditional lime-based applications and in modern acrylic Venetian finishes where the specification demands it.

We work with clients across Ayrshire on individual feature walls, full room applications, and larger renovation projects where Venetian plaster forms part of a wider high-specification interior.

Standard Plastering and Skim Coat

For new builds, extensions, renovations, and repairs, our team also delivers high-quality standard skim coat and multi-finish plastering throughout Ayrshire. Flat, clean, and ready to decorate - done properly, without the shortcuts that cause cracking and poor paint adhesion later.

Whether you need a single room re-skimmed or full plastering across a larger project, we work to the same standard throughout.

Plastering Across Ayrshire

We cover Ayr, Prestwick, Kilwinning, Kilmarnock, and the surrounding Ayrshire area for both Venetian plaster and standard plastering work - either as standalone services or as part of a wider project managed by Bluerock.
